First flight July 19, 1943. Crashed when pilot could not recover from a stall Nov 15, 1943. Pilot bailed out.

First flight Jan 9, 1944. This one is now part of the National Air and Space Museum on loan to the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum.

First flight April 25, 1944. Crashed May 27, 1945 during air show at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio. After a low pass in formation with a Lockheed P-38 Lightning and a North American P-51 Mustang. Pilot attempted a slow roll but lost altitude and crashed. The pilot, a veteran of 80 combat missions over Germany, was killed and five civilians were critically injured.
