Hispano is a Spanish aircraft manufacturer. Established when a Hispano-Suiza car and aircraft parts factory complex in southern Spain was taken over by Franco led "Nationalist" forces in 1939, during the Spanish Civil War. Hispano was taken over by Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA) in 1972

After WW II Hispano produced versions of the Messerschmitt 109, HA-1109 powered by a 1300 hp Hispano HS-12-Z17 engine and the HA-1112 powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin.
Prof Willy Messerschmitt joiner Hispano Aviacion after WW II. He supervised the design of a Wright powered trainer, HA-100-E1 which looked a lot like a North American T-28.
The HA-200 was the last aircraft designed by Prof Willy Messerschmitt. It first flew in 1955.
